Okay! i love Marie Claire Just like the next girl but when they start Slamming people for the way they Look or how Fat they are is crossing the line thats exactly what….”Maura Kelly” Did! she crossed the line and Marie Claire Editors Condoned her hateful speech because they allowed her to post her Rant!. she is basically saying in her article that Obese People do not have the right to Love or Make-Out with each other because they have Rolls!!!

she thinks that because she was Anorexic she can make these hateful Comments! But that does not make it OK! I feel bad for Maura Kelly Really i do. Cuz do u know how many Plump Coworkers she has!? they will not respect her and even look her way because of what she said she wrote in the heat of the Moment! SMH!

Judge for yourself. Here are some highlights:

“I think I’d be grossed out if I had to watch two characters with rolls and rolls of fat kissing each other … because I’d be grossed out if I had to watch them doing anything. To be brutally honest, even in real life, I find it aesthetically displeasing to watch a very, very fat person simply walk across a room — just like I’d find it distressing if I saw a very drunk person stumbling across a bar or a heroine addict slumping in a chair.”

But don’t worry guys, she’s got nothing against fat people! See:

Now, don’t go getting the wrong impression: I have a few friends who could be called plump. I’m not some size-ist jerk. And I also know how tough it can be for truly heavy people to psych themselves up for the long process of slimming down. (For instance, the overweight maintenance guy at my gym has talked to me a little bit about how it seems worthless for him to even try working out, because he’s been heavy for as long as he can remember.)

Because really, if you’re overweight, it’s clearly your fault:

But … I think obesity is something that most people have a ton of control over. It’s something they can change, if only they put their minds to it.

Shame on not only Maura Kelly, but the editor of Marie Claire for allowing this ridiculously pompous article to be published. If more women’s magazines (Marie Claire included) were more about giving women confidence regarding our inner beauty, we might just unite as a sex and work together instead of against each other – as you and I both know, women often do. It’s time women’s magazines step up to the plate and do just that. Because, for now, they aren’t really “women’s magazines” at all. They are simply catalogs likened to the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, aren’t they?! here are some of the Comments that Readers Submitted on the site ^.^

One commentor writes:

seriously? you are toxic. and marie claire has just alienated a huge portion of their readership for allowing this insensitive and ridiculous drivel to be published. i hope you, and the editors who let this be published, are fired. you’re not talking about health issues here – you’re using them as an excuse to slam people you don’t like. basically, for you, the bottom line seems to be that overweight people are unlovable and not entitled to be affectionate in public, lest they offend your oh-so-delicate sensibilities. no wonder you’ve never been in love. and, good luck with that NOW that you’ve opened your ignorant, shallow mouth.

I couldn’t even get past the first few paragraphs. I’m sorry you are disgusted by fat people. Sounds like you need to poke your eyes out. That way you won’t have to be “forced” to see things that displease you. You also may need to look up vapid. It’s a pretty accurate description for the little bit of your article I managed to stomach. It’s really not something one should strive for.. How did this ever get past an editor?? I will never buy Marie Claire again. That’s a promise.

Miley Dating who????

Omgosh when i saw this on yahoo i was like i did not know!!miley-and-her-guy2

Yea right everone know she was dating Justin Gatson!! my great grandma did!! who wouldn’t! she was spending so much time with him and she was like oh his just my bestfriend! yea right girl with that man ur not just freinds lol  For months, Miley Cyrus was dodging questions about her relationship with her” so called freind” Justin Gaston. For one, she’s 16 and he’s 20. She’s a role model to young girls and he’s an underwear model. She recently was on the cover of Glamour Magazine and finally reveled she was indeed datiing Justin!!  In the latest issue of Glamour magazine, the teen queen comes clean about dating an older guy, her body, and the temptations of Hollywood. In other words, Miley’s growing up. Here’s what she told Glamour’s Laurie Sandell:

On the four-year age difference between her and boyfriendJustin Gaston:

“I don’t feel like I’m doing anything wrong, and I’m ready for people to accept it. My fans already accept it — they just want me to be happy. And I haven’t been that happy in a few years … working so hard, moving to L.A. from Nashville, going through a bad breakup [with Nick Jonas]. I’m finally happy again, and I think that is reflected in my music and my work. So honestly, I don’t feel like there’s anything to hide. And I love him so much I don’t really care.”

On how they met:

My dad introduced us on the “Hannah Montana” set. I looked so bad that day. I was wearing sweats and glasses and we talked. Then he showed up the next day and said, “I can’t stop thinking about you. Can I take you to a movie?” When he took me home, I said, “I don’t want to get close to you, because I don’t know where this is going to go.” And he said, “Well, you can’t live like that.” So we took a three-mile walk, and talked and talked … Now he’s my best friend.”

On the pin-thin-body trend in young Hollywood:

“I think it’s lame, because it will eat at you forever. I’ve been at photo shoots where I’ve tried something on and said, “Oh my gosh, why don’t these fit?” But I’ll never be a six-foot-tall, 95-pound model; I’m meant to have a little more meat on my bones.”  miley_blog_8

On the temptations of Hollywood:

“In this industry there are so many things that can take over your life: money, alcohol, drugs — even fashion. People hand you things, and you start to believe life is easy. And it’s not like that — you’re not supposed to be the person you play in the movies … I like keeping my mind as far away from money and the material aspects of my job as possible.

On ending up like Britney Spears orLindsay Lohan (who also started out as squeaky-clean Disney Stars:

“The last thing I ever want to do is disappoint my parents. My mom’s dad died
when she was 18, and if something ever happened to one of my parents, I’d want
them to go knowing I made them proud. I think it’s selfish to go out partying all the
time.”
